Thank you for visiting our website. The content of this website, documents and prices are subject to change without prior notice. It is the buyer’s responsibility to monitor our website for changes. All phone calls are recorded for quality assurance purposes. By entering our premises you will do so at your own risk. Stampology (Pty) Ltd t/a Focal Tech does not take any responsibility for any damage, injuries or loss of items. No person will be permitted on our premises without a facial mask. The nose and mouth must be covered at all times. By accepting any of our quotes, estimates, invoices or by entering our premises we are assuming that you have read and accepted the following content and you abide by the following terms and conditions.

Section 1: Demonstration sessions (Weekdays, Weekends & Public Holidays between 10:00 and 18:00)


Demonstration sessions can be booked by appointment at our premises in Villieria, Pretoria and will be done free of charge. A sample will be done on our demo machine free of charge. Demonstration sessions are usually an hour long. You are welcome to bring your own material with for testing.


Section 2: Pricing & Payments


Please note that prices can change without any prior notice. Due to the volatile exchange rates, our prices are dependent on the ZAR/$ value. Please ask for a formal quotation for final pricing. Quotes and invoices are valid for 24 hours. We do require a 70% deposit before an order will be placed with our supplier as our machines are strictly built and imported on an individual basis. We do accept card payments and EFT payments. If you are paying from a different bank, please allow 2-3 business days for amount to reflect in our bank account. We do not have any down payment or rent-to-own options available. Financing can be arranged by the buyer at any major credit provider.


Section 3: Purchasing, Importation & Pre-Collection/Delivery Processes


Orders will only be placed at our supplier once the deposit amount reflects in our bank account. Our machines are strictly built and imported on an individual basis. Thus, your machine will be built from scratch (2 weeks lead time) and imported via sea shipping (6 weeks lead time from our supplier to our premises). We are under no obligation to disclose the names of our suppliers, but we do provide customers with their own individual tracking number to monitor the importation process. The ship can also be tracked on a world map. Please take note that the above mentioned lead times may be prolonged due to delays during the importation processes or at the South African Customs Department that are not within our control.

Keep in mind that the Covid-19 lock down levels (both national and international) may also influence the lead time. This too, is not within our control.


Once the ship has arrived at the national sea port, we will submit all the necessary paper work to the South African Customs Department for release. Your machine (which is packaged in a wooden crate) will be sterilised and fogged before it is offloaded from the ship.


Once the machine has arrived at our premises we will test and inspect it for proper functioning. Please take note that the package/crate is not handled by only one person during the importation process. Therefore, we do not have control over the manner in which your package is being handled. Please allow us the necessary time to fix possible damage (if any) and please be assured that you will receive a good, functioning machine. Please note that very rarely the are small chips in the body paint of the machine. We will gladly repair small paint chips at extra cost as this does not alter the functioning of the machine. We will contact you once the machine is ready for collection/delivery. Machines will only be released/booked for delivery and training will only start once the remaining balance of the invoice has been paid and reflects in our account.


Important: We are also very excited for you to start working on your new machine, but we do not guarantee that full production can be started on the first day of receiving a machine as the initial learning process of a new machine requires time, patience and trial-and-error experimentation of settings. Please do not take any orders from clients during the importation process and allow at least 3-4 weeks to familiarise yourself with software, machines and settings before taking orders from clients or doing sales pitches. No product orders will be done by us on your behalf during the first 4 weeks of receiving a machine.


Section 4: Refunds


No refunds will be issued once an order has been placed and during the importation process. We reserve the right to complete the importation process of the specific machine involved and find new buyers for it before a full refund can be offered. It is the buyer’s own responsibility to ensure that the machine will be able to meet your specific needs before a purchase decision is made. Buyers are welcome to provide us with materials for testing.


Section 5: Basic Machine Training (By appointment with a duration of 3-4 hours)


Please bring your own laptop/computer to the training session so that the included software can be installed and tested for you. Please ensure that the person/s who will be working with the machine is available and present at the training sessions. Please make alternative child care arrangements for the duration of training as our premises is not child friendly. Your full attention is required for optimal machine training. We reserve the right to stop and reschedule the training session at any given time should we feel your full attention isn’t given. We will gladly make a sample If there is something specific that you want to do. Please bring your own sample/item with and let us know well in advance what you want to do so that we can be prepared for your specific product. An English user manual will be provided, but you are more than welcome to make your own notes as well. Please refer to Section 13 for machine delivery & training at your premises (extra costs will apply).


Section 6: Software Training


  1. CO2 Laser Cutter Machine Software (Training Included): RDWorks

  2. UV Printer Machine Software (Training Included): AcroRip

  3. Vinyl Cutter Machine Software (Training Included): ArtCut

  4. Designing Software (Training Excluded): Coreldraw Home & Student


Important: We do not provide training for design software. This is the buyer’s own responsibility. A certain level of computer literacy is necessary.


Section 7: Minimum Computer Requirements


  • The included machine software are not compatible with any other operating system than Microsoft Windows.

  • Laptop/computer must be updated with latest updates and service packs (32 bit or 64 bit version of Windows 7-10) and in a working condition before coming to the training session. We prefer to install the programs on operating systems newer than Windows 7. Please note that we are not responsible for any software malfunctions due to operating system updates. 

  • 2.0 GHz processor (minimum)

  • Antel Core i3/5/7 or AMD Athlon 64

  • 2 GB of RAM (minimum)

  • 40 GB hard drive (with at least 15 GB free space)

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 or higher/any internet browser

  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6

  • Available USB 2.0 Hi-Speed compliant port


Section 8: After Sale Support


We value the concept of "after-sales support". Actions speak louder than words, especially when it comes to after-sales support. With modern technology developing every day we want to make our support system as quick and easy accessible as possible. We offer support for Whatsapp, phone calls, SMS messages, Skype, Zoom, E-mails, TeamViewer Remote Desktop and technician call-out support  for any queries/questions. Please note that all phone calls and video sessions are recorded and all typed messages are stored on our servers for quality assurance purposes.


Section 8.1: Phone/Whatsapp/Video Call Support


  1. You are welcome to contact us on any of these with any questions/queries regarding your machine or software. We will gladly assist where we can and as soon as we can.

  2. We do ask that you will please attach photos or videos of problems/queries where possible as it makes the diagnosis of a problem easier for us.

  3. Please note that this type of remote diagnosis is not always successful. If a specific problem cannot be resolved on Whatsapp (including mirror alignment) we do ask that you bring the machine to us (at your own expense) or we can come to you at R7/km VAT Incl for proper inspection (Please refer to Section 8.3)

  4. Always refer to the user manual. Most queries are answered in the user manual.


This support system will be available at the following times (GMT+2):


  • Mon - Fri: 08:00 – 16:00 (By Appointment)

  • Sat: 08:00 - 11:00 (By Appointment)

  • Sun & Public Holidays: Not Available, unless otherwise discussed


We will respond on the following day to queries that were made outside the above mentioned times. Please note that we will not always be able to respond to queries immediately (although we may have taken notice of it shown by a blue double tick on Whatsapp) as we are also very busy with other demonstration and training sessions. We do value each of our clients and we will respond as soon as we can.


Section 8.2: Remote Desktop Support


This is support rendered by accessing a specific computer/device from another computer/device with the help of networking or the Internet. It can provide access to the files, applications and network resources associated with the device from the remote device. - https://www.techopedia.com. In other words: it gives us full access to your computer from a remote location.


Teamviewer is the preferred program we use to access your computer remotely. It is free, secure and safe to use. TeamViewer needs to be downloaded and installed onto your computer in order for us to remotely gain access to your computer. It can be downloaded directly from the TeamViewer website at https://www.teamviewer.com/. By downloading TeamViewer you are bound by the terms & conditions of TeamViewer. An active internet connection is necessary to use TeamViewer.


Remote Desktop Support Terms of service:


  1. By using this type of service you are willingly giving Stampology (Pty) Ltd t/a Focal Tech permission to access your computer & files remotely.

  2. TeamViewer will give a random and once-off password for each session. After a specific session has ended we cannot gain access to your computer with the same password.

  3. We will not install any programs on your computer, make any changes to your operating system or upload any harmful software/viruses.

  4. We do not take any responsibility for any system errors, loss of data or damage.

  5. Should there be a need to install a program on your computer, an audible answer (during recording session) will be requested from you before such programs will be installed by us.

  6. We will not download or share any files from your computer. All sessions will be seen as strictly confidential.

  7. For your (and our) own safety, all sessions will be recorded both visually and audible. These recorded files will be kept safe on our servers. We will gladly give you access to the recorded files.

  8. Installation of TeamViewer is your own responsibility.

  9. As already mentioned, by downloading the TeamViewer program you are bound by the terms & conditions of TeamViewer. We are not the owners of this program and any problems or queries related to the installation should be taken up with them.

  10. Our normal Company Terms will still apply.

  11. Our remote desktop service will be rendered only by appointment and at the following times: Mon-Fri: 08:00-16:00, Sat: 08:00-11:00, Sun & Public holidays: not available.

  12. We will only render a remote desktop service, once a permission document has been signed by you to confirm that you are willingly giving us remote access to your computer and files.

  13. The permission document is only valid for 1 (one) remote desktop support session. Should another session be required, a new permission document will have to be signed by you.


Section 8.3: Technician Call-out Support (Costs may apply)


This service will be available by appointment at the following times:


  • Mon - Fri: 08:00 – 16:00

  • Sat: 08:00 – 11:00

  • Sun & Public Holidays: Not Available


For the safety of our technicians, we reserve the right to assess the call-out location. Should we feel that the specific location will be unsafe for our technician, we will require you to bring the machine to our premises at your own expense.


For machines still under warranty:


  • No call-out fee will be charged if the call-out location is within a 10km radius from our office.

  • Should the call-out location be further than 10km radius from our office, we will charge a call-out fee of R7/km x 2 (to your location and back).

  • Accommodation costs and flight ticket costs (if applicable) for our technician are at extra costs if the call-out location is 100+ km from our office.


For machines not under warranty:


  • No call-out fee will be charged if the call-out location is within a 10km radius from our office.

  • Should the call-out location be further than 10km radius from our office, we will charge a call-out fee of R7/km x 2 (to your location and back).

  • Accommodation costs and flight ticket costs (if applicable) for our technician are at extra costs if the call-out location is 100+ km from our office.

  • We will ask a fee of R450 + VAT per hour spent on the machine. This excludes possible replacement costs.


Section 9: Third-Party Machines/Equipment & Third Party Technicians/Suppliers of spare parts

Section 9.1: Third-Party Machines/Equipment


This is defined as any machinery/equipment that has not been purchased from us and includes any machinery/equipment purchased locally or imported by yourself. Training and repairs done on any third party machine shall be done at our premises and will be charged at R500 + VAT per hour for time spent on machine and training. This excludes possible part replacement or software costs.

Section 9.2: Third-Party Technicians/Suppliers of spare parts

This is defined as any service rendered or spare parts supplied by any person (technician) or company other than the staff of Stampology (Pty) Ltd t/a Focal Tech. Please take note of Section 12.3. The buyer should also be aware that any spare part purchased from a third party supplier will not have a warranty when not installed in their own machinery. 

Section 10: Demo/Second-hand Machines


We do sell demo machines from time to time. Please note that the machines will be sold “as is” and that there will be no warranty on any of these machines. A “first pay, first serve” policy will apply. Should you require us to keep the machine aside for later collection we will ask a 50% deposit.


Section 11: Important Machinery Information

Section 11.1: CO2 Laser Cutters/Engravers


CO2 Laser cutters utilize mirrors and lenses to focus the laser beam (produced in the laser tube) onto the material that needs to be cut/engraved. These mirrors need to be aligned manually. It does not matter from which supplier (local/international) the laser cutter was bought. All CO2 Laser Cutters/Engravers work with mirrors and lenses. Our machines are no exception and we will try our best to align and calibrate the machine properly before releasing it, but it is still the buyer's responsibility to make sure that mirrors are aligned properly and the correct focal length is set before a good quality cutting/engraving project can commence. The mirrors and lens mus be cleaned on a regular basis.


We always say that the CO2 laser tube has a lifetime of 1000 working hours, but this cannot be guaranteed. The life time of your tube depends on the following: how well your machine is maintained (clean mirrors/lens, water flow through the tube, clean water, water temperature), the material type/quality that is being cut, for how long your machine is operational at a time, machine settings and when your tube has been manufactured. We, therefore, do not have any CO2 laser tubes in stock as it has a shelve life, but it can also be purchased from other local suppliers. The CO2 laser tube can be upgraded to a higher wattage, but please keep in mind that the power supply must be upgraded as well. A 100W tube cannot operate from a 40-50W power supply. CO2 laser tubes and power supplies prices are between R5000 and R20 000, depending on the size that is required.

Section 11.2: UV Printers

Please note that our UV printers are not intended for mass production purposes, but rather for small to medium sized businesses or hobbyists. There is no warranty on the printing head of a UV printer as it is considered as a consumable. The printer head should be cleaned and flushed on a regular basis to prevent blockage of UV ink. Our UV printers are deemed small enough to be brought to our premises at the cost of the buyer should there be any faults or damages. Technician call-out services may be done at extra costs (please refer to Section 8.3). UV printers should not be confused with Direct-To-Garment printers (DTG printers). A permanent USB connection to a computer is necessary during machine operation. Included software is only compatible with Microsoft Windows. Stampology (Pty) Ltd t/a Focal Tech does not take any responsibility for any software malfunctions due to computer operating system updates (the update option should be disabled). 

Section 11.3: Vinyl Cutters

Please note that our vinyl cutters do not have a printing or contour cutting option. It only has a cutting option. A permanent USB connection to a computer is necessary during machine operation. Included software is only compatible with Microsoft Windows. Our vinyl cutters are deemed small enough to be brought to our premises at the cost of the buyer should there be any faults or damages. Technician call-out services may be done at extra costs (please refer to Section 8.3).

Section 12: Warranty - This section is applicable to all machinery that has been purchased at Stampology (Pty) Ltd t/a Focal Tech.


Section 12.1: General Warranty 

Our machines have the following warranties:

  1. CO2 Laser Cutters/Engravers & UV Printers have a 1-Year warranty. Please note that faulty alignment of CO2 Laser Cutter/Engraver mirrors does not qualify as a factory fault.

  2. CO2 Laser Tubes & Co2 Laser Tube Power Supplies have a 3-month warranty for any factory faults (please refer to Section 12.2).

  3. Vinyl Cutters have a 6-month warranty for any factory faults.

General Warranty does not cover:

  1. Demo/used models (no warranty on second-hand machines, even if it was only used for demos)

  2. Third-Party spare parts installed by any other person/company than Stampology (Pty) Ltd t/a Focal Tech or without our knowledge.

  3. Replacement of Consumables

  4. UV Printer Head

  5. Damage during transportation/handling after machine handover

  6. Electrical Surges - please use surge protection plugs.

  7. Water/Liquid damage

  8. Natural Disasters

  9. Damage caused by not using the air-assist pump (Laser Cutters)

  10. Damage caused by the use of harmful/toxic materials.

  11. Operating the UV Printer without distilled water flow through the UV light.

  12. Always have a small fire extinguisher nearby for the laser cutter as ALL laser cutting machinery have a possible fire hazard.

Section 12.2: CO2 Laser Tube & Power Supply Warranty

Our CO2 Laser Cutters/Engravers have a 3-month warranty for the CO2 laser tube & power supply, given the laser tube has been operated under maximum working current to be qualified under laser tube warranty Laser tube life span will be shortened rapidly by long term usage under over-high current and will leave an identifiable mark and will not be protected by warranty.


CO2 Laser Tube & Power Supply Warranty does not cover:

  1. Demo models (no warranty on second-hand machines, even if it was only used for demo's).

  2. Third-Party Tubes (no warranty on third-party tubes that are installed in our machines)

  3. Third-Party Machines (no warranty on our tubes that are installed in third-party machines).

  4. Damage during transportation/handling after machine handover

  5. Electrical Surges - please use surge protection plugs.

  6. Water/Liquid damage

  7. Natural Disasters


CO2 Laser Tube & Power Supply warranty will be null and void when:

  1. operating the machine without a continuous flow of distilled water through the CO2 laser tube or prolonged used with an air-bubble inside the tube. Removal of air-bubbles from the CO2 laser tube during the first usage is the buyer’s responsibility.

  2. distilled water temperature is higher than 30ºC.

  3. normal tap water is used instead of distilled water.

  4. the CO2 Laser Tube got damaged/cracked during transportation/handling of the machine after handover.

  5. operating the machine with dirty mirrors/lens and without the air-assist pump.

Section 12.3: Please note

  1. In the event that a machine is defective under the warranty period and terms, the distributor has the right to repair, replace with the same or similar parts or refund (if not repairable or replaceable) the defective part/s. We reserve the right to use our own local or international supplier for any spare parts. A waiting period may apply. Please note that spare parts may not be in original packaging and that we are under no obligation to disclose the names of any of our suppliers.

  2. During the warranty period, Stampology (Pty) Ltd t/a Focal Tech has sole repair rights on the purchased machine. The warranty will be annulled if the product has been disassembled, altered/modified, repaired or defective parts have been replaced by any other person/company (including the buyer) without prior knowledge or under the instruction of Stampology (Pty) Ltd t/a Focal Tech. Mirror alignment & maintenance of any machinery may be done by the buyer.

  3. Please note that we will require a video to be taken of your machine to determine possible defects or damages.

  4. Should there be any defects on the purchased machine, it is the buyer’s responsibility to return the defective machine/parts in original packaging and original accessories to the distributor at the cost of the buyer for repairs. Technician Call-out can also be done, but extra costs may apply (Please refer to Section 8.3)

  5. All machinery must be tested by the buyer within 7 days of handover, even if the machine was tested in the presence of the buyer during training.

  6. Faulty water- and air pumps or any other accessories must be reported within 7 days after a machine has been received, otherwise, replacement costs will be charged.

  7. The warranty certificate should be kept throughout the warranty period and will only be valid if signed together with purchase agreement by both the buyer and distributor. In the event of certificate loss, a second will not be provided.

  8. The buyer must provide the warranty certificate during the request for repair, otherwise, the cost of repair will be charged.

  9. There will be no time limit for repairs done on machines. Please allow us the time necessary to repair your machine and provide a good service.

  10. Warranty is only valid in RSA (Republic of South Africa) and will be terminated in the event of emigration to any other country during the warranty period.

  11. Transportation (locally/internationally) and exportation of the machine to another country will be done at the buyer's own risk and at the buyer's own cost.

  12. Insurance to be arranged by the buyer.


Section 12.4: General Terminology/Definintions:

  1. Consumables - CO2 Laser Tube and CO2 Power Supply (after a 3-month warranty), drag chains, screws, bolts, washers, CO2 Laser mirrors & lens, all pipes/tubes, UV ink & cleaning liquid, UV Printer Head, Vinyl Cutter blades, vinyl cutter cutting strip, distilled water, 20l bucket

  2. Water/Liquid Damage - natural disasters, condensation, damage sustained during cleaning of machines with liquids

  3. Natural disasters - rain/flooding, thunder, wind, sun damage

  4. Third Party CO2 Laser Tube and CO2 Power Supply - CO2 Laser Tube and CO2 Power Supply not purchased from us

  5. Third-Party Spare Parts - Spare Parts not purchased from us

  6. Third-Party Machines - Machines not purchased from us

Section 13: Machine Delivery & Training at the buyer's premises

Section 13.1: Machine Delivery

Delivery of machines/parts/accessories shall be done via a courier company of the buyer's choice at the expense and risk of the buyer. The buyer should take note of the terms & conditions of the courier company involved. Courier delivery may take up to 5 business days from date of collection. Delivery arrangements and dates are between the buyer and the courier company. Please take note that unloading of machinery is your own responsibility. Please ensure that there is someone to help the courier driver to unload the machine from the vehicle as it may be heavy. Any delivery queries should be taken up with the courier company. A tracking number will be provided once the machine has been collected from our premises. Transportation insurance is the buyer's responsibility. 

Section 13.2: Training at the buyer's premises

Once the machine has been delivered we will arrange a training date. Training shall only commence once the machine has been removed from its packaging/crate and in the preferred position where it will be used. Machine training at our premises will be free of charge. Training done at your premises shall be done at extra cost to cover our travel expenses.


The rates are as follow: 

  1.  If the training location is within a 10km radius from our office, no extra costs will apply.

  2. Should training location be further than 10km radius from our office, we will charge a fee of R7/km x 2 (to your location and back).

  3. Accommodation costs and flight ticket costs (if applicable) for our technician are at extra costs if the training location is 100+ km from our office.

Section 13.3: Alternative Training option

To accommodate you we are more than willing to do machine training on our own demo machine at our premises free of charge. By doing so we are excluding the costs mentioned in Section 13.2. Machine delivery shall still be done with a courier company and at your own risk as mentioned in Section 13.1. A video and photos of the pre-collection sample done on your machine shall be sent to you before the machine is booked for delivery. This is to confirm that we have sent you a working machine.

This option is not preferred or advised as we want to do the training on your own machine and do some samples in your presence where we can initialise the machine onto your own computer. Installation of machine software and initialisation of the machine shall be done by yourself and at your own risk should you opt for this option. 

Section 14: Safety

It is the buyer's responsibility that the proper ventilation is in place, especially in humid conditions. We take no responsibility for any injury or damage caused by the use of toxic/dangerous materials or improper use of machines. The room and door size should be big enough for the machine. Please enquire about machine sizes.
